Amex Daily Getaways: Purchase Club Carlson Points

Today’s Daily Getaway promotion (Week 5, Day 2) is offering Club Carlson points at a significant discount. With this offer you can purchase:

50,000 Club Carlson Points

  • Cost: $247 ($222.30 with Amex card)
  • Available: 100

100,000 Club Carlson Points

  • Cost: $495 ($445.50 with Amex card)
  • Available: 50

In my opinion this is a great deal, however, with the limited number available will be nearly impossible to get. With this sale, you are purchasing points at .5 cents per point, or .45 cents per point if you use an Amex credit card. I personally will be attempting to purchase this offer, but am well aware that my chances are slim to none. Since I have the Club Carlson credit card 100,000 points can get me 4 free nights at a top Club Carlson hotel. This means each night would ultimately cost $111 which includes tax. For those not aware, if you have the Club Carlson credit card you get a free night on every award stay booked with points. So if you have a two night award stay, for example, you use points for the first night and then the second night is free – no points required! You can read more about this benefit here.

This deal will go on sale at 1pm EST TODAY Tuesday June 17th. Availability is limited and I assume these will sell out very quickly. If you are interested in this offer, I suggest getting to your computer a few minutes early and have everything set up. Remember, like all other Daily Getaway promotions, you’ll receive 10% off the purchase price if you use any American Express credit card.
