For those staying at Radisson hotels over the next few months, this is a great opportunity to rack up American Airline miles. Between September 15 and December 15, 2014, you can earn 7,500 AAdvantage miles after completing two eligible stays at Radisson hotels. You must register for this promotion by October 15, 2014.
While you are limited to earn the bonus miles only once per account, it looks like you do not need to change your earning preference to miles to earn the points. So this means that you can earn your normal Club Carlson points on top of the American miles.
I wouldn’t stay at a Radisson hotel simply for this promotion, but if your travel takes you there on a paid stay, you might as well earn the extra miles!

“When you select Miles as your earning preference your ENTIRE BALANCE of Gold Points and all future Gold Points earned will automatically convert to Miles with the airline you have selected in 10,000 point increments. Miles can not be converted back to Gold Points. All miles with this auto conversion option will be redeemed at an 10:1 ratio.
