There is currently a promotion for targeted Amazon.com accounts where if you purchase a $50 gift card you’ll receive a a free $10 promotion code to use at Amazon at a future time. I personally have access to three different Amazon.com accounts and see that only one of the accounts is eligible. Oddly enough, it was the exact same account that was targeted for this promotion last month. There really doesn’t seem to be any rhyme or reason to their targeting system.
I’ve taken advantage of this promotion a few times and everything went very smoothly. I purchased my $50 gift card, applied it to my account, received my $10 promotional credit within a reasonable time, and was able to apply it to my account to use a few days later.
You’ll need to sign onto your Amazon account, click this link, and either you’ll see that you are eligible or a notice saying “Unfortunately, you are not eligible for this offer.”
If you are eligible and shop at Amazon, this is a great offer! Essentially all you need to do is purchase a Amazon.com Gift Card by October 31, 2014, and by November 1, 2014 you’ll receive your $10 promotional code via email. The $10 promo code must be used by December 20, 2014. You can then enter both the $50 gift card and $10 promotion code into your account to use for a future purchase (go to Your Account > Apply a Gift Card to Your Account).
This promotion is slightly different then ones in the past where you must enter a promotional code when purchasing the gift card. It also states that you can purchase multiple gift cards but they must all amount to at least $50 and be in the same transaction. Make sure to use promotion cod “OCTOBERGCS” in the “Gift Cards & Promotional Codes at check out.
Were you targeted for this $10 free promotion credit deal? If so, enjoy!
