Online Shopping Portal Bonus Roundup

Last week I wrote about many bonuses when doing making purchases through various online shopping portals. With these portals, you you earn regular points, miles, cash back for your every day purchases, plus a bonus after spending a certain amount. When making ANY ONLINE PURCHASE you should always go through some shopping portal. There is no reason not to!

So here are the portals offering an extra bonus after spending X amount:

  1. American Airline AAdvantage Shopping Portal: This is a targeted promotion, so you’ll need to check your email to see what offer you received, but many folks were given the opportunity to earn either a 500 mile bonus after spending $75 or 525 miles for every $275 spent up to 1,575 points. There might be other targeted offers out there as well. This offer is valid through November 10, 2014.
  2. Delta SkyMiles Shopping Portal: Earn 750 bonus miles for every $175 you spend up to 2,500 bonus miles. So if you spend $175 you’ll earn 750 miles, spend $350 earn 1,500 miles, and spend $525 earn 2,250 miles. This offer is valid through November 26, 2014.
  3. Southwest Rapid Rewards Shopping Portal: Earn 300 points for every $175 spent up to 1,200 points. Southwest has a fixed points program where 300 points equals about $4. This means that the bonus is getting you at most a 2% return on your purchase. This offer is valid through November 23, 2014.
  4. United MileagePlus Shopping Portal: Another targeted promotion and similar to the American offer I was given an opportunity to earn 500 miles after spending $75 through the portal. Another blog reader, however, commented that they received an offer for 450 bonus miles after spending $175 up to 1,350. This offer is valid through November 15, 2014.

Make sure to also compare the portals against each other for the specific merchant to see where you can get the most points and miles anyways without the bonus. While some shopping portal might give you 2 miles per dollar spent, another one might be offering 5 miles per dollar spent. I personally like to check the site evrewards to compare.

Enjoy your extra points and miles!
