If you have the Chime card, you can get a free $5 with Amazon! This offer just came out a few hours ago and is valid through tomorrow (Friday December 19, 2015). With this offer you can simply make any purchase of $5 or more at to earn this $5 cash back. If you make a purchase less than $5 you will only save the amount purchased, so you might as well make a full $5 purchase. Essentially this is giving you $5 free to Amazon!

I went ahead and purchased a $5.00 gift card on Amazon with my Chime card and the cash back went through with no problem! You can purchase an gift card here and then add it to your account to use at a future time. It can take a few minutes to be credited, so do not be alarmed if you do not see it immediately. Before making your purchase, however, make sure to sign onto Chime and ensure that the offer is still valid in the “Offers” tab. With Chime Offers there is a limited number available so once they are all spoken for the offer no longer exists. If you do not currently have the Chime card, most likely you will not be able to take advantage this go-around, but just a good reason to have the card on hand in case any other awesome offers appear – this is the 2nd time this offer has appeared just in December! You can also get $10 to start with if you sign up through December 31, 2014. You can read more about Chime here.

For those interested, there are a bunch of other Chime offers recently added. They include: $5 to Children’s Place, $2 to Chick-fil-A, $3 to Applebees, $5 to Bed Bath & Beyond, $1 to Auntie Anne’s, $2 to Krispy Kreme, $3 to Aeropostale, and $5 to Marine Layer.

  1. Hi, do you know if you can fund your Serve account using Chime card as a debit card? Are there any fees for doing this? Funding Serve from the Chime card seems like a good way of using any excess balances on the Chime card, right?

    • @Serve – I am not sure as I do not have a Serve card. But I will look into it. You can always use any excess balances on your daily purchases (grocery store, drug store, etc.) or purchase an gift card.
