Newegg Amex Offer Extended! Save 12.5% on MANY Gift Cards!

This post may contain affiliate links from our advertising partners, such as American Express. Read my Advertiser Disclosure policy here. Additionally, some of the offers on this page may no longer be available through Deals We Like.

First off, happy New Years everyone! Secondly, as a new years present, I guess American Express decided to extend their offer through February 28, 2015. Originally it was supposed to expire last night, so for those that missed out, you still have the opportunity to spend $200 at and receive a $25 statement credit. For those who have no interest in purchasing anything from Newegg or have no idea what this online site even is, it doesn’t matter, you can still take advantage! Newegg sell gift cards to MANY other merchants. So you can purchase a $200 gift card to lets say American Airlines and still trigger the $25 statement credit.

This is available via Twitter which means everyone is eligible and you can enroll all of your American Express credit cards!

To enroll in this offer:

  • Sync your American Express credit card to Twitter (you can do that here). If  you are not sure which card is currently synced with your account, you can unsync and then re-sync. Tweet #AmexNewegg
  • or, Sign into your account and go to the “Amex Offers For You” tab. Find the Newegg offer and make sure to select the “Save Offer” button (although once you do this for one card the option will disappear on other cards, so you’ll need to set up a Twitter account to save the offer to the rest of your Amex cards or read this post to learn how to sync multiple Amex cards with your account) sells many travel gift cards so this is one way to save on your upcoming trip or vacation. There are actually a bunch of Amex Offers that allow you to save on travel! These gift cards include: American Airlines, Hyatt, Carnival Cruise, Royal Caribbean,, Celebrity Cruises, and Westgate Resorts. Other non-travel gift cards include: AMC Theater, JCPenney, Maggianos, Gap, Old Navy, Kohl’s, KMart, Footlocker, and many many many more.

  1. This may just be wishful thinking, but do you think this would work?

    – Buy 4x $50 groupon GC thru newegg w amex sync (and also portal cb)
    – Buy 2x sharper image deal thru groupon (plus portal cb)
    – Buy 2x sharper image deal thru 2nd groupon account (plus portal cb)
    – Buy 2x sharper image deal thru 3rd groupon account (plus portal cb)
    – Buy 2x sharper image deal thru 4th groupon account (plus portal cb)

-End result $400 to spend at shaper image for ~$135

    – Can these 4 starper image certificates be used all in 1 transaction?

  2. will need to buy a Apple Macbook from Newegg.
Do you thing I can split the payment to 4 Amex cards?
Or, can I buy 4x$200 Newegg gift card to pay for the Macbook?

    • @Jay – I haven’t tried splitting payment myself, but you can see if they allow you to put 4 credit cards while checking out. If not, then just purchase 4 Newegg gift cards. I personally haven’t tried the Newegg gift card, just the other merchant gift card route.
