The US Airways Dividend MasterCard is running a promotion for their cardmembers between March 1 and June 30, 2015 where you will earn a 50% bonus on all miles on purchases with the card. Of course there is a cap to the offer, where you can only earn up to a maximum of 10,000 bonus miles, which means means $20,000 of purchases during the promotional timeframe – this will then ultimately give you 30,000 total miles on your account (assuming regular spend and not US Airways purchases).

To register for the promotion: Log into the your Barclaycard account online and in the lower right-hand side you’ll see a box (which I highlighted below in red) to register. It takes less than 30 seconds and you are good to go!

To be eligible, the terms state that the account must be “open, active, and in good standing throughout the entire promotional period.” This means that if you cancel your card midway through, you will not earn bonus points on purchases up to that point. You must register for this promotion by June 30, 2015.

This might actually temp me to use the card more over the four month window. This is not a go-to card for me for every day spend, but the ability to earn 1.5 US Airways point which will eventually transfer over to American Airline miles is pretty good.

I wrote about the US Airways Dividend MasterCard and there current sign up bonus a few months back. That is actually when I applied for the card since I want to make sure I get the 50,000 sign up bonus points before the card disappears!

  1. If 10k is the max of 50% bonus, isn’t the spending to reach the cap $20k(not $6667)? You earn 20k normal miles and 10k bonus miles.

  2. I assume this promotion is independent of (and stackable with) other promotions, i.e. The 15K bonus for spending $750 in each of 3 consecutive months OR the 10K bonus with $3K spent within 3 months. Both are current popular promotions.

  3. I have applied for the us air MasterCard every month for a year and they will not give me one. I have a Barclay arrival card and other cards, all with no balances. Have you run into this before? My husband has the US Air card. I am baffled.
