While using points is great, there are many times when it just does not make sense and paying for the hotel room is best. For paid stays, however, I still like to fully maximize my savings and get the best deal possible. With Hyatt, there are currently two ways on top of whatever cheap rate you find to continue to save money!

  • Purchase a gift card at Raise.com at a 13.5% discount!
  • Book your stay through TopCashBack.com and get 3% cash back!

I wrote about the gift card deal yesterday where through end of day today you can purchase a Hyatt gift card with an additional 5% off the current discounted price. Gift cards are currently pricing out as high as 9% off, so with the additional 5% discount, you are able to purchase a Hyatt discount for 13.5% off the value. For example, a $500 gift card will only cost you about $433. The additional 5% off ends tonight although they come available quite often.

You can purchase gift cards for Hyatt Resorts & Hotels, Hyatt Place, and Hyatt House hotels, although the gift cards can be used at ANY Hyatt hotel in the U.S., Canada, and the Caribbean. So a Hyatt Place gift card can be used at the Park Hyatt in New York, just as one example. The gift card can cover your final room bill which can include room rate (assuming not a prepaid rate), taxes, incidental room charges (food, activities, etc.).

Additionally, if you book your room through the online shopping site TopCashBack.com, you’ll earn 3% cash back! All you have to do is first go to TopCashBack.com, search for Hyatt Resorts & Hotels, and click the orange “Get Cashback Now” button. This will then take you directly to Hyatt’s site where you can make your reservation as you normally would. This extra steps takes maybe 1 more minute, but can save you some money on your stay! The terms do state that rates booked with a corporate or government code are not eligible. All other publicly available codes should work, i.e., 4th night free, AAA rates, breakfast rates, etc. The cash back is for all Hyatt hotels under the Hyatt umbrella, including Hyatt Place, Hyatt House, Andaz, Grand Hyatt, Park Hyatt, Hotel Hotels & Resorts, Hyatt Zilara, and Hyatt Ziva.

Hyatt DiscountWhen you combine all the discounts and cash back options, you should be able to save about 16% off the room rate. Of course the Hyatt gift card discounts and cash back amounts change daily, but overall, you should be able to get a similar discount – sometimes more and sometimes less.

    • @Ven – It doesn’t work with GOV or Corporate, but I do not see anywhere about AAA. I can ask TopCashBack directly if needed.

  1. Hmmm…you can’t use the Hyatt gift cards on purchasing Hyatt points, can you? Because with the current point purchase deal, this would be even better…

  2. Are they actual gift cards?

How can you book a stay with these Raise.com GC? How can we use them in conjunction with a prepaid (lower rate) stay?

    Thank you!
