For the month of May, Silvercar is offering a flat $39/day rate for rentals in Phoenix and Miami. Since there is no promotion code required, you can double dip and use code FTU50 to get an additional $50 off a two day rental.

This means, for a two day rental it will only cost you $14 a day! From my experience renting a car in Miami (I actually have never rented a car from the Phoenix airport), you cannot do much better then that!

Now, it gets even better. If you are a new Silvercar member, you’ll get $25 back after your first rental. So let’s say you are looking to rent in Miami – the total cost of the two days including taxes is $41. Within 24 hours after you return the car, you’ll get $25 deposited to your PayPal account. This means that the two days ultimately will cost $16 total or $8 each day including all taxes! For rentals in Phoenix, the taxes are slightly higher, so the total cost of two days is $50. After you receive the $25 back, that means you are paying $25 total or $12.50 a day including taxes! To receive this credit, however, you must sign up through another members referralThanks in advance to those who use my referral link, but feel free to leave your own in the comments section.

Silvercar is competing in the high end car rental market and while their rates are definitely more expensive, you are essentially paying more for the experience and convenience. Although when special promotions appear, the rates are not so expensive! With Silvercar, you are renting one type of vehicle, a Audi A4’s. Renting a car with them is seamless as there is no paperwork to fill out (you complete your profile ahead of time), an employee will pick you up at the airport in your car as well as and drop you off at the airport – no car rental shuttles.

For those looking to rent in Ft. Lauderdale, they are offering a flat $59 rate through the end of June. They will be opening up operations there this Friday.
