A Few New Amex Statement Credit Offers

Since it is the beginning of the month, a few new Amex Offers popped up this morning where you can receive a statement credit at many popular merchants. today and I am very excited about them! TSome are available via Twitter while others are only available by signing into your AmericanExpress.com account. The ones through Twitter I have noted by including the hashtag for the offer. With the Twitter ones, everyone is eligible, but the AmericanExpress.com ones are sometimes targeted, so you might not find all the ones listed in your account. Before adding an offer to your account, make sure to read these two blog posts to maximize both the Twitter offers and AmericanExpress.com offersRemember, all current Amex Offers are listed here.

  • Orchard Supply Hardware: Spend $40+, get a $10 statement credit. Expires 6/30/2015

  • One Kings Lane: Spend $100+, get a $20 statement credit. Expires 9/15/2015
    • Tweet: #AmexOKL
    • Tip: Available online only at Onekingslane.com
  • Porsche Design – W Broadway/Madison Ave: Spend $500+, get a $100 statement credit. Expires 7/27/2015
  • Dollar General / Dollar General Market: Spend $25+, get a $5 statement credit. Expires 8/31/2015
    • Tip: Valid for in-store purchases only. Dollar General sells other merchant gift cards such as Starbucks, Home Depot, iTunes, etc. Purchasing a gift card with a synced Amex card will trigger the statement credit.

I absolutely love the American Express Sync concept and have received a bunch of statement credits due to making purchase with a registered Amex credit card. Remember, these promotions are only valuable to those with an American Express card (no Corporate or prepaid cards) and is only a one-time statement credit. Serve and Bluebird cards are now eligible, but Target REDCard is not. There are also limits to the number of people who can register so I suggest doing it now!

If you have multiple Amex cards, you will need to sync them to different accounts. To learn more about these American Express offers, read this Amex Offers series:

  1. Many bloggers have started reporting that Dollar General does not even take AMEX credit cards. Here’s a snippet from their website:
“Q. Do you accept credit/debit cards at my local Dollar General store?
    A. We accept Visa, MasterCard and Discover credit cards, as well as PIN-based debit cards, in all of our stores.”
Does this mean that they “may” allow AMEX debit cards such as Bluebird and Serve?? Can anyone follow up on this at their store?

    • @Ken – There isn’t a Dollar General near me so I haven’t been able to test it out myself yet. If I am able to though I’ll let you know.
