There is currently a promotion for targeted Amazon.com accounts where if you purchase a $50 gift card you’ll receive a a free $10 promotion code to use at Amazon at a future time. While I was not targeted this time around, I have been able to take advantage of a similar offer multiple times in the past and everything went smoothly.  I purchased my $50 gift card, applied it to my account, received my $10 promotional credit within a reasonable time, and was able to apply it to my account as well and use it a few days later. There really doesn’t seem to be any rhyme or reason to their targeting system.

You’ll need to sign onto your Amazon account, click this link, and either you’ll see that you are eligible or a notice saying “Unfortunately, you are not eligible for this offer.” You can also go straight to adding a gift card to your cart and using the promotional code 1015GCARDS to see if it accepts the code.

If you are eligible and shop at Amazon, this is a great offer! Essentially all you need to do is purchase a Amazon.com Gift Card by October 31, 2015, within a few days you’ll receive your $10 promotional code via email. The $10 promo code must be used by December 16, 2015. You can then enter both the $50 gift card and $10 promotion code into your account to use for a future purchase (go to Your Account > Apply a Gift Card to Your Account). I’ve heard mixed results about purchasing two $25 gift cards – some state that it did not work for them last month, so to be cautious I recommend purchasing one $50 gift card.

Were you targeted for this $10 free promotion credit deal? If so, enjoy!

Thanks to this Slickdeals Alert for letting me know about the deal!

Apparently this offer seems to be used only one time a year. Did anyone get it more than once?
