Additional savings includes:

  • eBay Bucks: You’ll earn 2% back on your purchase (you just need to enroll in the eBay Bucks program), so if you are looking to buy 1 gift card that is $3.40. However, some people have received a targeted emails that is giving them 3x eBay bucks back. Assuming you were targeted, you’ll get $10.20 back for one gift card.
  • Online shopping portal: I see there are a few shopping portals giving cash back on all eBay portals. TopCashBack.com is giving 1.25% cash back, while Ebates and Mr. Rewards is giving 1% cash back. Assuming 1.25% cash back, this saves you $2.13 per gift card purchased.

On the high end, with the eBay bucks earned and cash back you’ll receive the $200 gift card can really be thought of as costing $157.67. Of course this is on the higher end as not everyone was targeted of the bonus ebay bucks offer or will want to deal with an online shopping portal. But for those that are able to take advantage of all stacking opportunities, this can get you about 21% savings! You can purchase the discounted Hyatt gift card here.

Thanks to Doctor of Credit for sharing this great discount!

  1. While I can appreciate that someone who is buying gift cards off of ebay as often as you are would think of Ebay bucks like cash, someone like me who would only buy this if I wanted money off my Hyatt stay would not consider 10 ebay bucks the same as $10. In fact, if I don’t get targeted for 3x, it wouldn’t even trigger enough to get a certificate.

So really we are looking at 16% off plus ebay bucks if you are a frequent ebay purchaser.
