Starwood’s New Promotion for 2016

Starwood just announced their new promotion for the beginning of 2016. With this offer, all qualifying stays will receive double SPG points for stays of two or more nights. Additionally, select hotels will be offering an extra 250 bonus points per night that you stay at their property. This promotions runs between January 11 and April 30, 2016.

Screen Shot 2015-12-16 at 3.50.09 PMWhile this is a similar promotion to ones that they’ve run in the past, I hate seeing promotions that require 2+ nights to qualify. With that being said, I am glad to see that there are NO hotels excluded from the list. And not only that, many hotels that were excluded during the last promotion are the ones that actually qualify for the 250 bonus points per night! For example, most of the New York City hotels were excluded last time, and now those hotels not only qualify but are also giving out the extra points. You can check a list of all the hotels giving the 250 bonus points here. Also, keep in mind that while you need a 2+ night stay to qualify for the 2x points, you do not need that same minimum night requirement for the 250 bonus points. One night stays will also qualify for the 250 bonus points at participating hotels.

You MUST register or this promotion by April 10, 2016. Starwood is extremely strict with registration so I suggest just signing up now to ensure you do not miss the deadline. You can register here.
