Via The Flight Deal, Emirates is having a sale where you can fly JFK to Milan non-stop for $449 (economy class ticket)! The only catch is that you must book for at least 2 or more passengers. This fare sale lasts through January 27, 2016 for travel February 1 through November 30, 2016. This is very similar to the exact same sale they offered a year ago although $49 more expensive per person.

Screen Shot 2016-01-26 at 8.36.58 AMI checked a random date this Spring and easily saw the $449 ticket per passenger. Since you need to search for multiple passengers, they give you the total price for all passengers, so you can see that for the 2 passengers is comes to $896.72. When I entered hypothetical dates and selected the flexible date option (to search +/- 3 days), I saw that many dates had this low fare, while some dates had a slightly higher fare of about another $100 extra per passenger. As of right now, availability is really good! You just might need to shift your dates a day or two to get the lowest fare possible.

If you are not 100% sure about your travel plans, you can always hold your fare for 72 hours for a small fee. However, if you need to change your flight and the fare is gone, that locked in fare will not hold for different dates – just the selected itinerary.

While this isn’t nearly as good as the $100-$150 fares to Milan we saw Fall 2013, $449 to Milan on a non-stop flight is still really good! You can also easily get to Venice, Florence, Rome, and many other cities from Milan by an inexpensive and relatively quick train ride or flight.

You can learn more about the sale and book your Emirates flight here.
