Today’s Daily Getaway promotion (Week 2, Day 4) is offering certain Omni Hotel & Resorts properties at a discount.

With this offer you can get:

  • 1 Night at an Exclusive Omni Hotel on a Friday or Saturday night for $235 (15 available)
  • 2 Nights at a Premier Omni Hotel for a Friday or Saturday night check-in for $335 (38 available)
  • 2 Nights at a Select Omni Hotel for a Friday or Saturday night check-in for $245 (41 available)
  • 2 Nights at a Standard Omni Hotel for a Friday or Saturday night check-in for $160 (30 available)

Similar to all other hotel deals, make sure you are actually getting the best rate for your stay. I would definitely research ahead of time to see what rate you can get directly with Omni or a third party site. For example, I looked up the Omni hotel in Orlando and saw that I could get a rate as low as $104 this summer. And this is a “Premier” hotel so would cost you $168 a night with the Daily Getaways certificate. However, I looked up the Omni Parker House in Boston, and the per night rate is well over $275/night, so grabbing a certificate for this “Premier” hotel is definitely worth it and a money saver. Keep in mind though that these certificates include tax while the rates you find online probably will have tax added on later in the reservation process. Some hotels will be worth it depending on the date, while some will not – just make sure to do your research ahead of time.

All of these offers require a Friday or Saturday check-in and the certificate expires December 30, 2016. So you really only have a little less than 9 months to use it and are limited on dates. The terms also state that blackout dates apply, so I suggest calling the hotel directly to ensure your desired hotel date is not blacked out.

If you have a specific redemption in mind and know that purchasing this offer will be cheaper then going through the hotel directly, then it is a good deal, but I would not suggest speculatively purchasing these certificates.

This deal will go on sale at 1pm EST TODAY Thursday April 14, 2016. There are a limited number of available, so these could go fast. I just suggest getting to your computer a few minutes ahead of time.

  1. I bought this voucher 2 years ago to use at a hotel which had a blackout date. Emailed the hotel manager and they were able to accept it anyways. The deal was definitely worth it to me as I had a specific event (wedding) I was going to at an Omni. However with the quick expiration date, I would only buy if you have plans lined up already.
