Thanks to The Flight Deal for finding great fares to Australia! From many US cities you can fly to Melbourne and Sydney, Australia on United or American for somewhere between $665-$765. Most of the United flights have a stop in San Francisco and the American flights have a stop in Los Angeles (and possibly Dallas as well depending on your starting point). If you are looking to go to Australia through, these are awesome fares for travel through mid-June. Australia, particularly Sydney and the surrounding beach towns, is one of my favorite destinations, so I highly suggest it!

Sample fare from Los Angeles to Melbourne. United flight non-stop.

Remember, these prices are for coach seats. Flying to Australia is an incredibly long flight, and I know many of you would only even think about this flight in business or first class. I personally flew to Sydney in coach and would do it again, especially for this price. Unfortunately, life right now isn’t allowing me to hop over to Australia!
