Today’s last and final Daily Getaway promotion (Week 5, Day 3) is selling World of Hyatt points at a pretty good discount.

With this offer you can get:

  • 24,000 World of Hyatt points for $260 (120 available); cost = 1.083 cents per point
  • 30,000 World of Hyatt points for $330 (54 available); cost = 1.1 cents per point
  • 72,000 World of Hyattt points for $775 (25 available); cost = 1.076 cents per point
  • 40,000 World of Hyatt points for $415 (30 available); cost = 1.037 cents per point

For example, you can redeem 15,000 points at a category 4 hotel (for example Andaz Papagayo in Costa Rica and Hyatt Regency Bonita Springs). With the 30,000 point package, this will get you 2 free nights for $330 including tax (not resort fee). Rates as these hotels during peak times can easily be over $500/night (especially Costa Rica). To spend only $330 for the two nights is a steal! Although not all hotels will work out in your favor where purchasing points is cheaper, so definitely make sure you have an opportunity to use them.

While this is absolutely a rate I’d purchase Hyatt points (even speculatively), there is hardly any availability and they will go within seconds. This will be a game of who happens to click “purchase” literally the millisecond they go on sale. I personally wouldn’t suggest rearranging your day around purchasing these points, but if you happen to be home you might as well attempt to make the purchase. This deal will go on sale at 1pm EST TODAY Friday April 29th.

  1. Sure the Andaz papagayo is a real bargain with points until you figure out that you are spending over $300 a day on food and drinks. I’d rather stay at one of the many great all inclusives in Costs Rica so I don’t have to worry about $60 lunches and $200 dinners.
