33% off AirBnB Rentals and Gift Cards!

A new Amex Offer just just popped up where you can essentially get 33% off your first $150 spent on an AirBnB rental. This new offer will give you a $50 statement when you spend $150 or more on a registered American Express credit card through September 8, 2017. Unfortunately though, this is a targeted offer (not available via Twitter), so you’ll need to check each account at AmericanExpress.com to see if you are eligible.

To register for this offer:

  • Go to AmericanExpress.com and click the “Save Offer” button if you see the offer in your account. Make sure to use the multi-browser trick to register multiple cards – read this post first!
  • Make your $150+ AirBnB rental reservation by September 8, 2017You do not actually need to stay by this date, but the transaction must hit your credit card by this date.

Maximizing this Offer…

First off, if you are new to AirBnB you can also get a $40 credit by signing up through a referral! Additionally, AirBnB does sell gift cards and last time they ran an Amex Offer (back in 2015), a gift card purchase DID trigger the statement credit. Assuming gift card purchases still work (which it should), that will allow you to fully maximize this offer by getting $50 off every $150 of the house rental assuming you have multiple eligible American Express credit cards. This will also allow you to purchase gift cards now to then redeem at a future time. While the T&C states gift cards are excluded, as long as it codes as “AirBnB” on your credit card statement, it will trigger the statement credit. If you try it and it does not work, you can always get your money back for the gift card purchased. If the gift card is not redeemed within 90 days, the gift card will be sent back to the “purchaser” and the amount paid will go back to the credit card.

This is a great offer to rent a house for less! Enrollment is limited so I suggest registering now! Feel free to comment below with your experience and how you are going to take advantage of this offer! Enjoy!
