Over the summer, Wyndham sent out targeted emails offering members 10,000 bonus points after completing just 1 stay. A pretty generous offer considering it only requires 15,000 points to redeem for a free night award at ANY Wyndham property. This is a reminder that this promotion is coming close to an end. While you have till October 9, 2017 to complete your stay, you need to actually book your reservation by this Saturday, September 30, 2017.

Even if you did not receive the email, or are not 100% sure, you can always try to see if you are eligible for this promotion by signing into your Wyndham account and registering here. I tried with my other account and it told me I was not eligible. The original email was  from June 28th and was titled: “This BIG offer is is for you, ’cause we miss youâ€.

Stacking 2 Wyndham Promotions!

If you are eligible for the 10,000 point promotion you can double dip and also take advantage of the Masterpass promotion. Related blog post. The Masterpass promotion is available to everyone (not targeted) and just requires you to use Masterpass as your payment method during checkout. It is extremely easy and even if you do not have a Masterpass account it will only take a few minutes to set up. When you pay with Masterpass, you do not actually have to have a Mastercard, you can link any of your credit cards to your Masterpass account. With the Masterpass promotion you’ll earn 7,500 points per stay, up t 2 stays. So if you combine with the above promotion, you’ll earn 17,500 points after one stay or 25,000 points after two stays. This Masterpass promotion, however, does not expire until October 31, 2017. You can only pay using Masterpass by making your reservation through WyndhamHotels.com, NOT WyndhamRewards.com.

Mattress Run Worthy!

In my opinion, this promotion is 100% mattress run worthy. Find an extremely cheap property (like my $37 property I found earlier this summer) and 1 night stay will earn you free night to use at any Wyndham property. Wyndham has a fixed redemption program where it only requires 15,000 points to redeem at any of their properties – including New York City, Boston, all-inclusive in Dominican Republic, Napa, etc. I most likely will use these bonus points to stay in New York City. From my experience, no-show stays will NOT trigger the bonus points. Although, I did have one reader reach out saying that a non-refundable booked stay where he was a no show did trigger the bonus points. Remember, you do not actually need to stay at the hotel, as long as you are there to physically check-in you’ll get the points. You do not need to check-out or even enter the actual hotel room.

Will you be taking advantage of this awesome promotion? Where did you stay (or mattress run) and where will you be redeeming your points.

I found that the Masterpass pay button/link malfunctioned a LOT.
I ended up having 3 stays to get the 2 bonuses. I was in a jam to book before the local area sold out, so I had to just grin and bear it.

My bonus showed up 8 days and 14 days after my respective stays.

I am waiting to see if a bonus shows up on my GF’s account that I used to book another 2 stays,
actually I only am waiting for 1 as I had to cancel the first stay, then plans were changed back to staying in that town, and same thing, the masterpass button would not work. So I just paid normal before I lost out on last room. I tried incognito window, logging on to masterpass first, different browser, etc etc.

If the bonus does show for that account then I’ll book one more stay on that and we will have a 15,000 to use.
