Many Increased American Express Credit Card Offers!

Over the past few months there have been a ton of increased credit card bonus offers where you can really rack up some great points and miles or even put money in your pocket with some cash back! American Express particularly has many limited time offers so I wanted to get these on your radar in case you are in the market for a new card.

Keep in mind that American Express has put some parameters in place to limit to the number of bonus offers you can receive. With American Express you are limited to one bonus in a lifetime, so if you’ve already received an offer in the past for the exact same card, unfortunately they most likely will not extend you the offer again. With that being said, there are a few cards that have multiple products, so if you’ve received the offer for one product, you are still eligible for the other products (i.e., Blue Cash EveryDay vs. Blue Cash Preferred).

List of Increased American Express Credit Card Offers

No Annual Fee Card Offers

  • Blue Cash Everyday® Card from American Express: $150 statement credit after you spend $1,000 in purchases on your new Card within the first 3 months. *Terms Apply. See Rates & Fees
    • My thoughts: Typically this card comes with a $100 cash back offer, but every now and then they increase the offer to give you additional cash. There has been better offers in the past, but they’ve offered cash back only when spending at certain spend categories. This is a great no annual fee card for U.S. super markets (3% cash back up to $6,000 per year in purchases) and U.S. gas stations (2% cash back).

  • SimplyCash® Plus Business Credit Card from American Express: UPDATE: This offer has expired. Earn up to $400 cash back -> Earn a $200 statement credit after you spend $5,000 in qualifying purchases on your Card within the first 6 months of Card Membership. Plus, earn an additional $200 statement credit after you spend an additional $10,000 or more in qualifying purchases on your Card within the first year of Card Membership. *Terms and limitations apply.
    • My thoughts: This is a great cash back offer for a no annual fee card. Additionally, you’ll receive 5% cash back at US office supply stores and wireless phone services purchased directly from U.S. wireless providers as well as 3% cash back from two categories of your choice (for example, airfare, hotel rooms, car rentals, gas stations, restaurants, etc.). And since it has no annual fee, if you take advantage of the Amex Offers you can actually make some money just by having the card!

  • Hilton Honors™ Card from American Express: UPDATE: This offer has expired. Limited Time Offer: Earn up to 75,000 bonus points – Earn 50,000 Hilton Honors™ Bonus Points after you spend $1,000 in purchases on the Card within your first 3 months of Card Membership and an additional 25,000 Bonus Points after you make an additional $1,000 in purchases with your new Card within your first 6 months. *Terms Apply.
    • My Thoughts: Earning 75,000 Hilton points without having to pay an annual fee is great. While we’ve seen a 80,000 point offer in the past, to meet the minimum spend was a little harder. This card comes with automatic Silver status which is great since you’ll then receive your 5th night free when using your points on a free night stay. The 75,000 points from the welcome bonus can get you anywhere from 15 nights at a low level category to 1 free night at a high level category. Unfortunately though, during peak times a few of the high end hotels will require even more then what the bonus will give you. I also love no annual fee cards since they are eligible for Amex Offer where you can earn statement credits at many popular merchants.

Annual Fee Card Offers

  • Hilton Honors™ Surpass® Card from American Express: UPDATE: This offer has expired. Limited Time Offer: Earn 100,000 Hilton Honors Bonus Points after you spend $3,000 in purchases on the Card within your first 3 months. Plus, earn a free weekend night on your anniversary date of Card approval. Some hotels may have mandatory services and resort charges. Offer Ends 10/4/17. *Terms Apply.
    • My Thoughts: This is the highest offer we’ve ever seen for this Hilton credit card, so if you are looking to increase your Hilton balance this is a great way to do so. With this card you’ll also receive complimentary Hilton Honors Gold elite status each year you keep the card as well as Diamond status if you are able to spend $40,000 in a calendar year. Gold status is one of the best mid-tier statuses to have as it comes with complimentary breakfast. Gold status also gives you your 5th night free when you use your points to redeem for a free night award. The 100,000 points from the welcome bonus can get you anywhere from 20 nights at a low level category to 1 free night at a high level category. You’ll also get a free night certificate to use at any Hilton property (including their high end properties in New York City, Paris, London, Park City, Bora Bora, and the Maldives) after your first anniversary year with the card.
  • Blue Cash Preferred® Card from American Express — $200 statement credit after you spend $1,000 in purchases on your new Card within the first 3 months. $95 annual fee. *Terms Apply. See Rates & Fees
    • My thoughts: Typically this card comes with a $150 cash back offer, so with this offer you are getting some more cash in your pocket. This card does come with a $95 annual fee, so while it is more expensive then the Everyday version of the card, you do earn a higher percentage cash back – 6% cash back at U.S. super markets (up to $6,000 per year in purchases – then 1%) and 3% cash back at U.S. gas stations. Depending on how much you spend on these two categories will determine if the Everyday or Preferred version is best for you.

  • Gold Delta SkyMiles® Credit Card from American Express: UPDATE: This offer has expired. Limited Time Offer: Earn up to 60,000 miles -> Earn 50,000 bonus miles after you spend $2,000 in purchases with your new Card within your 1st 3 months and a $50 statement credit after you make a Delta purchase with your new Card in your 1st 3 months. Plus, earn an additional 10,000 bonus miles after you make an additional $1,000 in purchases within your first 6 months. $0 introductory annual fee for the first year, then $95. Offer expires on 11/8/2017. *Terms Apply.
    • My Thoughts: This is the highest offer we’ve ever seen for this particular card. While there was a 60,000 point offer this past Spring, the minimum spend requirement was higher, so this offer is now more obtainable. I also like that this card has no annual fee the first year so you can see whether or not it works for you. This card will also give you your first checked bag for free for both you and 8 other passengers which can save you a ton of money on any upcoming flights.

Offer expires on 11/8/2017. *Terms Apply.
    • My Thoughts: This is the highest offer we’ve seen for this card and a lower minimum spend then previous offers! While this card will give you a free checked bag, there are some other benefits that this card has over the Gold version. With the Platinum card only, you are able to earn 10,000 miles and 10,000 MQMs for the first $25,000 in spend during the calendar year. You’ll then earn another 10,000 miles and MQMs after you spend $50,000 total in the calendar year. That is in addition to the MQMs earned from the welcome offer. Also with the Platinum card you’ll receive an annual companion certificate. This card, however, does not waive the annual fee for the first year.
