Last week I wrote about an opportunity to earn a total of 12,000 bonus (between American, United, and Southwest) by shopping online. Then yesterday morning I wrote about two more opportunities to earn bonus miles again by shopping online, but this time with Delta and Alaska Airlines. If you shop online often, you absolutely should be able to earn a decent amount of bonus miles! Here are the 5 different offers:

  • Southwest Airlines: Earn up to 3,00 bonus points (expires November 20, 2017)
  • United: Earn up to 5,000 bonus miles (expires November 19, 2017)
  • American Airlines: Earn up to 3,000 bonus miles (expires November 19, 2017)
  • DeltaEarn up to 1,000 bonus miles (expires November 19, 2017)
  • Alaska AirlinesEarn up to 1,000 bonus miles (expires November 19, 2017)

To earn the maximum number of miles requires you to spend a total of $4,300 ($1,000 with Southwest, $1,500 with United, $1,200 with American, $300 with Delta, and $300 with Alaska). Clearly, this is not a small amount of money, but if you have some big purchases over the next few weeks, I suggest seeing if you can maximize as many of the portal bonuses as possible. You can also earn slightly less miles for less spend! Remember, these bonuses are also in additional to the normal miles you’d receive anyways by going through one of the online shopping portal sites first. Unfortunately, these offers end prior to Black Friday and Cyber Monday, but I hope we will see some offers pop up again for the Thanksgiving timeframe!

What is an online shopping portal?

I know for many people, the concept of an online shopping portal is extremely foreign. However, I want to ensure you that it is an extremely simple process and literally takes an extra minute to complete your shopping purchase. If you are not familiar with these portals, they are an online websites that you go to first, search for the store, and then you are taken directly to the desired merchants website. You then continue to shop at that merchant the same exact was as if you went to the site first. Your purchase is tracked in the background and you’ll then earn points, miles, or cash back (depending on the site used) for your purchase. There is absolutely no reason not to earn these extra points/miles or free money!
