Delta is Joining the Bandwagon! Earn Another 1,000 Bonus Miles for Shopping Online!

To no surprise, Delta just joined the Bandwagon and is also offering a bonus for shopping online through their portal. This is a tiered offer allowing you to earn 1,000 bonus miles in addition to the 13,500 miles you can earn between United, Southwest, American, and Alaska.

With this promotion, you’ll earn the following:

  • Tier 1: Spend $150, earn 500 bonus miles
  • Tier 2: Spend $300, earn 1,000 bonus miles

For those not familiar with an online shopping portal, essentially you go through the shopping portal first (in this case Delta’s), search for your online merchant, and you’ll then be taken directly to that merchants online website. At that point, you’ll shop how you normally would as if you went to the merchants site to begin with. It takes an extra minute and allows you to earn points or miles on the way. The bonus described above is for cumulative spend and doesn’t need to be in a single transaction. Ultimately, if you have $300 of purchases to make online over the next two weeks at partner merchants, you can earn an extra 1,000 Delta miles and that is on top of the miles you’d earn anyways for the purchase.

This is a great opportunity to earn Delta miles!

  1. The one time I always remember to shop through my Delta portal is when I’m renting with Airbnb. You can earn 1 mile for every dollar you spend on Airbnb via the Delta site! I only learned about it a few months ago, but now I always try to do it. 🙂
