UPDATE: This offer has expired.
The best ever offer for the Delta Reserve Business Card is ending in just a few days, on November 7, 2018. This is actually a phenomenal offer and might be great for those looking to earn some extra MQMs for earning Delta status.
- Delta Reserve Business Card: Earn 70,000 bonus miles and 10,000 Medallion® Qualification Miles (MQMs) after you spend $5,000 in purchases on your new Card in your first 3 months. *Terms and limitations apply.
This card is a premium card and does carry a hefty $450 annual fee. Although I do value the points from the welcome bonus to be around $1,000 towards travel, so that far surpasses that annual fee for the first year at least! These miles can be used for Delta flights as well as any of their SkyTeam alliance partners, such as KLM, Korean Air, AeroMexico, Alitalia, Aeroflot, etc. Remember though, American Express has a once in a lifetime sign up policy, so if you’ve received the bonus offer for this card in the past, unfortunately you will not be eligible for this offer.
Earn More MQMs Every Single Year
The big benefit of this card is that you’ll earn 15,000 Medallion® Qualification Miles (MQMs) and 15,000 bonus miles after you spend $30,000 in a calendar year, plus an additional 15,000 bonus MQMs and miles when you spend $60,000 in total. So if you are a big spender and are in need of MQMs this is definitely a card that will help you earn status year after year. The MQMs you earn can also be combined with any MQMs you might earn from the other Delta credit cards — since the Delta Reserve (personal card), Delta Platinum (personal), and Delta Platinum (business) all have MQM benefits as well.
Free Companion Certificate
One of the best benefits of this card is that on every card anniversary year, you’ll receive a roundtrip companion certificate. This can be used on any Delta domestic flight when your companion is traveling in first class, Comfort+, or economy. Although you are responsible for paying the taxes and fees on the flight, they are capped at $75 roundtrip.
With this card you’ll receive Complimentary Delta Sky Club Access and you can bring up to two guests for a cost of $29 each. For such an expensive card, I’d expect more out of the lounge access since so many other cards come with some sort of lounge passes these days, but it is still better than nothing.
While nothing to write home about, some of the other benefits include: Zone 1 Priority boarding, complimentary first checked bag for you and up to 8 companions on the same flight, and a 20% discount on inflight purchases.
Overall, this is a great card for those looking to increase their Delta mileage account due to the enhanced welcome offer. It also has many benefits such as the annual MQMs and bonus miles for hitting the spend thresholds, the annual companion certificate, and the lounge access. With all that being said, make sure the benefits you get are worth more than $450 due to the high annual fee!
