One of my favorite ways to maximize Black Friday and Cyber Monday purchases is by going through a shopping portal first. This allows you to earn some extra miles, points, or cash back (at no extra cost to you!) for every single online purchase you make. Today only, three different airline shopping portals — United, Delta, and American Airlines — are handing out some extra bonus miles by using their site.

AAdvantage eShopping Site

  • Spend $100+ at Macy’s or Etsy, earn 500 bonus miles

This is on top of the regular points you’ll earn, which is 6 miles per dollar spent at Macy’s and 4 miles per dollar spent at Etsy. A $100 purchase at Macy’s will net you 1,100 miles and a $100 purchase at Etsy will net you 900 miles.

United MileagePlus Shopping Site

  • Spend $100+ at Jet.com, earn 500 bonus miles

This is on top of the regular points you’ll earn, which is 5 miles per dollar spent. A $100 purchase will net you 1,000 miles!

Delta Skymiles Shopping Site

  • Earn 3x points at Jet, Macy’s, New Balance, Sephora, Neiman Marcus, Nike, Backcountry, Under Armour

This is not nearly as good as the United and American promotions for Jet and Macy’s, but an option to explore for some of the other stores, although many of the cash back stores might give you a better payout. Jet.com is only 3x miles, while the United portal is 5x miles, plus the 500 bonus miles! Macys.com is the same 6x miles as American, but you do not receive the 500 bonus miles with Delta.

Overall…

The United and American portal bonuses are worthwhile promotions if you are looking to make a purchase at Jet, Macy’s, or Etsy today. The Delta portal bonus is pretty weak, but oh well!
