Last summer, Hyatt announced their partnership with Small Luxury Hotels of the World. This is great for Hyatt members as it will grow their footprint and enable you to earn and redeem your Hyatt points at more properties. At the time, there was no timetable when the hotels would actually be part of the Hyatt program, but it seems like they are making progress! Back in November they added their first 54 properties, then in January they added another 56, and now they are adding another 57—for a total of 167 properties! You can check out all of the properties here.

57 More Properties Starting Today!

57 more properties are being added to the partnership where you’ll be able to earn and redeem points at some amazing destinations internationally and in the US. Most of the properties are between 12,000-40,000 points, so you’ll definitely have to weigh the cost to see if using your points are worth it. These properties include:

a table with names and numbers

a table with different cities

a table with different countries/regions

a table with a list of cities

If you look at the list closely, you’ll see that there are now many properties where Hyatt does not have a presence at all, which is great! They have added 6 properties in Thailand, 8 properties in France, 2 extremely high end properties in Africa, 10 in Greece, 5 in Lisbon, and then a few more scattered throughout the world. This is a very good list and the number of points required for a free night seem to reflect the quality and price of the property properly.

SLH Benefits

When you stay at a SLH through Hyatt all members will actually receive some favorable benefits:

  • Complimentary Wi-Fi
  • Daily complimentary continental breakfast for two guests
  • Room upgrade (one category at check-in if available)
  • Early check-in (noon, based upon availability at check-in)
  • Late check-out (2:00pm, based upon availability at check-in)

Unfortunately, if you have Hyatt status you will not receive the normal benefits (i.e., full breakfast for 2 adults and 2 kids, suite upgrades, etc.), but I do like that all guests, regardless of status, will still receive some pretty good perks.

Overall…

I am glad to see more and more properties being added to this partnership. Unfortunately though, most are not too family friendly (as they are not expected to be), but for a vacation san kids, they do look pretty great!

Have you yet stayed at any of these SLH properties?

I see Casa Velas in Puerto Vallarta is in the list. As best I can tell, this is an all-inclusive hotel. So, now in addition to the Ziva and Zilara options, there’s at least one more all-inclusive that can be booked with Hyatt points?

Hi, I’m going to Helsinki and the rate is 20k hyatt points, but if I book through CSR portal, it’s 19k. Is there any difference of benefits? Thanks.
