In addition to the 40% bonus points offer I wrote about yesterday, Choice Hotels is also offering a 10,000 bonus opportunity. All you have to do is book a hotel by Friday, Nov. 22, 2019 for a stay through Dec. 31, 2019 and you’ll earn a one-time bonus of 10,000 points on your stay. If you plan on taking advantage of this offer, just make sure to register for the promotion in advance.

While this is a great opportunity for those who are looking to book an upcoming hotel stay at a Choice property anyway, this offer is also mattress run worthy. Choice Privileges point are worth about .06 cents per point, which makes the 10,000 points valued at approximately $60.  (Keep in mind with the current promotion you can purchase almost the same number of points for $77).

For example, in a quick search I found an Econo Lodge for $57 after taxes. This stay will earn the 10,000 bonus points, the regular points earned on the base rate and a stay towards status. Of course this is only $20 less than the cost to purchasing the points, if you’ve hit your cap on purchasing points this year or could use the stay towards status, this could be a great deal.

Overall…

For those looking to earn Choice points at a cheap rate or have an upcoming stay you need to book, this could be a great promotion. Just keep in mind that you are capped at the 10,000 points once per account, regardless of the number of stays you have between now and the end of the year.
