IHG is back with offering another Accelerate promotion, and like every other time, the offer that you personally receive will be targeted to your specific account. With that being said, it seems like everyone is eligible for some sort of promotion, some might just be better than others. This promotion will run May 1 through July 31, 2018.
To see your unique promotion, you’ll need to register here. You’ll have to complete specific tasks to earn bonus points for every eligible stay (make sure to read the terms per task to ensure your rate qualifies).
My personal offer is actually pretty decent. If I complete 5 nights I’ll earn 40,000 points. If one of those nights is at an InterContinental, Hotel Indigo, or Even property, I’ll earn 41,500, and if one of those nights is during the month of May I’ll earn 43,500. Keep in mind, “tasks†can overlap, so one stay might check check multiple boxes.
While the best situation to earn the bonus points is if you have upcoming IHG stays anyways, there are some situations when it might be worth it to do a mattress run to get the points. It really depends on your offer and hotel prices. For me personally, this offer is not mattress run worthy. I also personally do not have any planned IHG nights coming up so will most likely not be taking advantage of this offer.
