Club Carlson and TopCashBack

I know many people have been using to book their Club Carlson (Radisson, Park Inn, Country Inn & Suites) stays. This is a great opportunity to get 10% cash back on all your stays for the current Big Night Giveaway Promotion! However, with any online portal there is always some hesitation. I’ve received a few emails and actually have experienced some of these issues myself, so I wanted to communicate the response I’ve received from my contact at TopCashBack.

  1. Typically only gives 5% cash back for Club Carlson stays, however, until July 15th, they have upped the bonus to 10% back. However, you will only earn the 10% back for stays completed by this date not booked by this date.
  2. There has been some tracking issues for Club Carlson stays May 31 through June 22. I was told by TopCashBack that each individual account affected with receive a personal message from them. They are addressing each issue and will ensure that you are eventually paid for your stay. I’ve been affected by this as well, so I looking forward to this issue being resolved.
Aside from the 2nd issue which TopCashBack has addressed, I’ve been pleased with this site. I have already received the cash back from my first Radisson stay and was able to have this amount transfered directly to my PayPal account. I like how there is no minimum amount needed to cash out.
On a side note, I’ve already completed my two Club Carlson stays for a total of 94,000 points. This in total has cost me about $170. Now I just need to figure out where to use these points!! If you haven’t yet taken advantage, time is running short as you only have until July 15th! If you have not yet registered, unfortunately the maximum threshold has already been met, but you can still receive 15,000 bonus points after your first stay. Not mattress run worthy for me, but still something.

  1. Be aware. does not seem to pay the rebate on rates booked at the cash and points rate. I booked and completed a one night stay at a Country Inn for 5,000 points and $77.40. TopCashBack is showing $77.40 purchase amount but no rebate due. Anyone else experience this?

  2. mine and my wife;s tracked fine, however half of our stays were denied. I have submitted claims, but I have no idea if this will get handled ok. I have submitted detailed information and some of the responses I have gotten lead me to believe that this will not end well (not understanding the details is the issue with their responses)

    • @Bill – This is an issue with cash back not posting to not the bonus points posting to club carlson. Glad to see you’ve received all of your CC bonus points!

  3. I’ve had 3 stays (2 booked on cash & points rate & 1 at govt rate, all during the dates listed above) and the TCB rebates posted without any problems.

  4. Park Inn reservations never showed up, and Country Inn and Radisson are showing $0 rebate with alert message. Will report back later to see whether they really want to fix the problem.

  5. TopCashback is having a similiar issue with stays booked from May 8 – 22 with IHG. Promo was for 16% yet I only got 6% as did lost of other people as there is a message on the website under IHG concerning this. Never had this type of issue with Ebates or Mr Rebates.

    I do too find that when they respond via support tickets, I have to reply back explaining my situation in further detail as they seem not to know what I’m asking about…

    • @Dale – I did hear about that IHG issue that the stay had to be completed during this time not just booked. This was just recently communicated and not during the promotional time frame which is unfortunate. My suggestion is that even if ebates or mr. rebates is slightly lower but you have had a positive experience, then go with them. I am personally giving topcashback a try, so we’ll see.

  6. In theory, the rebates with TCB seem pretty good. Especially the Club Carlson rebate in conjunction with their promo, but it seems that a lot of bloggers were pushing TCB to their readers without any real evidence of legitimacy. I’ve tryed them with 2 Carlson stays, and 1 Sheraton stay, and none of the 3 have tracked correctly.

  7. Our Radisson stay was last saturday (6/23). TCB has picked up the reservation, but it is still showing as $0.00 in pending. Also, my Lowe’s transactions always stay as pending….I’ll give them a month or so. If they won’t give me my 6.5% back from lowe’s, I might as well run through Bigcrumbs or 3 UR pts…

  8. Any luck getting cashback on reservations at Park Inns ard the world through TopCashBack? It looks like only Country Inn and Radisson hotels websites are available for cashback. I could be wrong though.

  9. I made some Radission and Park Inn reservations via’s 10% cashback link and have finished my stays. However I have not seen any cashback in TCB. FYI i did Best Rate Guarantee claims with Club Carlson. I suspect Best Rate Guarantee with Club Carlson will invalidate’s cashback?

    also, it seem TCB does not track Park Inn reservation made through their Radisson link at all? so basically no cashback for Park Inn?

    anyone can confirm these two observations? thanks.

  10. Apparently, Park Inn reservations will not be paid by TCB, but interestinglly, no bloggers mentions that at all! Any reason behind that???

    • @BostonDealLover – I will follow up with my contact about that. They’ve been having a tracking issue, so it could be due to that, but I will find out.

  11. Btw a simple question that may have been answered elsewhere but do you have to physically check at the front desk counter in the hotel, or since there is a no show penalty of at least the first night on most reservations, especially those made through, you will still get the associated Carlson bonus?

    Also I understand with most Carlson properties, you don’t need to check out physically at the front desk counter either as the staff slides the final bill under the room door on the last morning.

    Is that the case across all Carlson properties (Radisson, Country Inn, Park Inn,…) and locations in the US and ard the world?
