Trump just announced that starting this Friday, all travel into the United States from Europe will be banned. As of now, this will continue for a 30 day time period, so we are looking at flights through April 12, 2020.

Surprisingly though, the UK is excluded, although they have more confirmed cases than some other countries, such as Denmark, Austria, Greece, Iceland, Finland, Portugal, Ireland and more. I am not sure the reasoning behind this, but I do find it odd.

They are also saying that U.S. citizens will be exempt, although the exact screening measures seem to be unclear. Personally, I suggest avoiding European travel so you are not quarantined.

This is definitely a developing story, but for now here is the video of Trump delivering the message. I’ll continue to update this story as more information unravels.
