Last summer, Hyatt announced their partnership with Small Luxury Hotels of the World. This is great for Hyatt members as it will grow their footprint and enable you to earn and redeem your Hyatt points at more properties. At the time, there was no timetable when the hotels would actually be part of the Hyatt program, but it seems like they are making progress! Back in November they added their first 54 properties and now they are adding another 56—for a total of 110 properties!

56 more properties are being added to the partnership where you’ll be able to earn and redeem points at some amazing destinations internationally and in the US. Most of the properties are between 20,000-40,000 points, so you’ll definitely have to weigh the cost to see if using your points are worth it.

I am glad to see more and more properties being added to this partnership. I do think some of the properties are priced quite high so I am not sure how often I’ll actually take advantage of staying at these properties on points, but possibly for a paid stay. I do also like that all guests, regardless of status will receive complimentary continental breakfast, a room upgrade if possible, and early and late check-out.
