A New Online Subscription Service to Rival Amazon, Diapers.com, and maybe Costco!

I heard about Jet.com a few weeks ago and instantly became intrigued. Jet.com is a membership shopping club focused on low prices – a hybrid between Amazon and Costco. It was founded by the Marc Lore who was also the founder of Diapers.com and the other Quisdi sites (which later was sold to Amazon).

While the site is not currently live, if you sign up now you can get a free 6-month membership. Just make sure to sign up by 12pm ET on February 6, 2015. The anticipated launch date is sometime this Spring or early Summer. From what I’ve heard, the yearly subscription price will be somewhere around $50.

They are also adding an incentive to get your friends to sign up for the 6-month membership by giving out “insider” points. Earning these points helps your “insider status”. The top 100,000 insiders will gain early access. And if you happen to be in the top 10 you’ll earn Jet stock! You can also check your Jet Insider Status which I find fun!

I am definitely interested to see a new service appear especially if it will be cheaper than Amazon.com. Although, until the site goes live I will not be able to determine if prices really do beat Amazon and how close they come to Costco.

Feel free to leave your Jet.com referral link below. The only thing it does is help you move up the rank in your Jet Insider status. Unfortunately I do not think any of us will be in the top 10 and earning Jet.com stock, but maybe in the top 100,000 to get early access!
