Starwood just announced their new promotion that will run between May 9 and July 31, 2016. With this promotion you can earn up to 3x points on every stay. Unfortunately though, only stays of 2 nights or more will qualify.
- 3x points for stays at Sheraton hotels
- 2x points at all other SPG hotels
- An extra 1,000 bonus points for stays that include a Friday or Saturday night (Thursday or Friday night in the Middle East) – this is on top of the 2x or 3x points you’ll earn
Like many other SPG promotions, there are some properties that are excluded from earning the bonus points. Here is a list of properties that are included.
I am personally disappointed in this promotion since 1 night stays are excluded. I think you should earn something regardless of the length of your stay, but oh well. However, or those staying 2+ nights at a Sheraton hotel, this can earn you some nice points. This promotion is not as generous as the Hyatt promotion that runs during a similar time period.
