Registering for Amex Offers through your American Express Account

One of the ways to register for the Amex Offers promotions is through your AmericanExpress.com account. To see what is available, sign into your AmericanExpress.com account to see the “Account Home” page. At the bottom of the page you will see your latest transactions. You will need to click the “Amex Offers For You” tab to see which promotions you are eligible for. If you have multiple American Express cards, the offers might be different as well. To see what another offers you are eligible for on another American Express card, you will need to click on the card image at the top of the page and go back to the “Offers For You” tab. If you are new to Amex Offers, read this post: “Overview and FAQs of Amex Offers”

Before you can take advantage of the offer, you MUST enroll by clicking the “Save Offer” button. This is available by selecting the first button “OFFERS AVAILABLE FOR CARD-XXXXX.”

You will see all your enrolled offers by click the “MY OFFERS” button.

Amex Offers

Not all cards can be registered. You can only save offers to Amex cards that show up on in your AmericanExpress.com account. For example, you cannot save offers this way for your Bloomingdales American Express, Macy’s American Express, any Citi co-branded cards, authorized user cards, etc. For these cards, the best way to take advantage of the Amex Offers is through Twitter. I will write more on that early next week.

Registering for the same offer for multiple cards. READ THIS PARTY CAREFULLY! If the same offer shows in multiple accounts, once you save the offer from one account it will disappear from another account meaning you are limited to 1 per account. However, there are two roundabout methods to enroll in the offer for multiple cards:

  • Create a different account PER card. This means having a different username and password for each card. I personally prefer everything on one account, but this will allow you to enroll the offer on multiple cards, assuming the offer appears for each card.
  • The multi-browser trick. Sign into your American Express account at the same time on different web browsers. For example, open up AmericanExpress.com on Internet Explorer and Chrome. On the first browser click on the “Amex Offers For You” tab for card for Card A, and on the second browser click on the “Amex Offers For You tab” for Card B. Right after each other without changing the site you are on, Save the Offer to each card. I personally use different web browsers to ensure there is no issue, but readers have reported that just using different tabs within the same web browser works as well.

If the offer is available via Twitter as well, then you do not need to worry about only one card registering. With Twitter you can register multiple cards much easier.

If you have the American Express app on your phone, you can also register for these promotions on the go, but registering multiple cards is difficult. You can also see which promotions you’ve already taken advantage of (since most of the promos are limited to one statement credit per card), by clicking on the “My Savings” tab.

Let me know if you have any questions! You can search for all the current Amex Offers promotions here.

I had the Flemings steakhouse offer but did not add to my card because I have Amex and sometimes I have one on my and not the other. When I went to check the expiration date, the offer disappeared from my list of available. I tried calling customer service and they can’t help me to reactivate the offer.

I couldn’t find the HGI/HI offer in any of my 3 amex accounts. 🙁
