Another blog post from Mr. Deals…

Yup, that was the shout I heard from Mrs. Deals this afternoon as she was chatting with my mom on the phone about an upcoming trip my mom has been planning. While Mrs. Deals was shocked and confused, I pretty much shook it off as normal. I mean while my mom is an avid reader of the blog, she’s often very confused by a lot of the deals Mrs. Deals is spitting out.

I have to say, I can definitely relate. My mom is a great example of someone who loves a good deal, but sometimes can’t be bothered with some of the effort that comes along with it. She probably passed some of that to me, though Mrs. Deals has worked tirelessly trying to convert me to an avid deal seaker. It’s definitely rubbed off because I thrive on the challenge of getting the deals done really as a way to show off (though saving money is always a good motivation too). She also has been working quite hard on my dad, which has worked to a point, though like my mom, sometimes he can’t be bothered.

Mrs. Deals likes to call my parents her “project.” She specifically uses this with my dad, because he’s the one always traveling and earning points and miles. She’s been working for years with him, and she’s making progress. I mean she does give him a hard time every time he gets impulsive and doesn’t consult her, but hey, what can you do.

I guess it’s true what they say, sometimes you can’t teach an old dog new tricks! Love you mom and dad!

It used to be a good card since you got free shipping but now they offer free shipping to everyone, just like the old days.

I am glad my wonderful daughter in law feels she is making progress with me, her “project”. But you are correct, sometimes I just can’t be bothered. If Mrs. Deals were did not find me a challenge, it could get boring.

I think it is funny when Mrs. deals goes off LOL! Especially since it is usually another party relating it. 🙂
