UPDATE: This offer has been updated to now not expire until April 30, 2016.

Back in February, I wrote about a promotion where if you re-load your Amazon.com account with a $100+ gift card, you’ll receive a free $5 credit. Unfortunately, this is a targeted offer and you can check your eligibility here. It seems as though most accounts (although not all) are eligible. This is a reminder that this promotion expires tomorrow, March 31, 2016!

Steps to Claim Your Free Gift Card

  • Go to this Amazon.com site
  • Click the “Claim here to qualify” button
  • Click on the “Reload Your Balance” button
  • Purchase a $100 gift card

Unfortunately though you cannot use your current gift card balance to purchase a new gift card.

Using Your $5 Gift Card

The $5 promotional credit will automatically be applied to your account and emailed to you when the qualifying order is placed. This $5 credit expires May 15, 2016.

This is a nice offer for those that shop at Amazon often and do not mind having gift cards already in their account to use.

Site says that offer expires at the end of April, not the end of March.
