Participating Merchants

The best part of this promotion is that Neiman Marcus is a participating merchant! When the shopping portal representative sent me this promotion yesterday (for embargo today), I was extremely excited to see Neiman Marcus on the list. This is because Neiman Marcus has an awesome Amex Offer where you can earn a $50 statement credit with a $200+ purchase. While there is no guarantee that gift card purchases will work, it is definitely worth a try. A $200 purchase will get you 3,000 Alaska Airline miles which is pretty awesome! You can learn more about this Amex Offer here and here.

What is an online shopping portal?

For those not familiar with an online shopping portal, essentially you go through the shopping portal first (in this case Alaska Airlines), search for your online merchant, and you’ll then be taken directly to that merchants online website. At that point, you’ll shop how you normally would as if you went to the merchants site to begin with. It literally takes an extra minute and allows you to earn points or miles on the way. The bonus described above is for cumulative spend and doesn’t need to be in a single transaction.

Enjoy your bonus points!
