A new partnership between Wyndham Rewards and DoorDash will allow you to get free food delivery while traveling! This is a great way to steer away from expensive room service or hotel restaurants and eat more locally. Typically DoorDash charges a nominal fee, having that fee waived helps reduce your overall food cost while on the road. Just use promo code WRD.

On top of the $0 delivery fee, new customers can receive $5 off their first order. Just use promo code WR5. And if you start your order at www.wyndhamrewards.com/doordash, you’ll receive 250 Wyndham Reward bonus points on every order, plus an additional 2,000 points on your first order.

Since many properties do not even offer food at their hotel due to them not being a full-service property, this is a great way to eat in your hotel room. When I used to travel for work on a weekly basis, I would have loved for their to be a delivery site like DoorDash where I could order a variety of food. Instead I was limited to just the particular restaurants that offered their own delivery service  — and there weren’t many! Of course if you are in NYC where you have Seamless web, this might not be such a game changer, but in many more rural areas, this definitely makes a difference!

Overall…

While this isn’t the most deal breaking news, I do like it when travel loyalty programs form partnerships to save their guests money. Even if it is $5 here or there, those bills add up and can be put towards a future vacation. I also like that you can earn bonus points for simply doing something that you’d partake in anyways. While 250 Wyndham Reward points isn’t worth much on its own, bonus points do add up. Not only that, it is a way to keep your points from expiring.
