I’ve written about the site Raise.com previous as an opportunity to purchase Hyatt gift cards at a discount. While browsing around on the site I saw that they have added a new travel savings opportunity – discounts on Southwest Airlines gift cards!

These Southwest Airline gift cards are going for about 4.5% off, however, today only, the site is offering an additional 3% discount to all gift cards purchased (all merchant gift cards are eligible included Hyatt!). This equals to about 7.4% off! To receive the extra 3% discount, you must use promotion code RAISEAF3. Now, if you are new to Raise.com and looking to just purchase a $100 gift card, you can instead use new user promo code NEWRAISE25 where you get $5 off a $25 or more gift card. Unfortunately, you cannot combine promo codes, but the $5 off is a better deal than 3% off if you are looking at just a $100 card as it will only cost you $90.5 – or 9.5% off!!!

If you have an upcoming Southwest flight you are looking to book, this is a great opportunity to save some money on your flight. Or, if you are using points, you can use the gift card to pay for the taxes/fees portion. You can purchase Southwest gift card here.

Gift cards do not expire and once purchased they will be available in your Raise.com account within 24 hours where you can print them out. If you are new to Raise.com you can sign up here. Enjoy!

  1. If I purchase a flight using a gift card and later cancel, do the funds go back to the gift card (non-expiring) or to a travel fund (expiring)?

    Thanks!

    • @Michelle – Great question! The funds go back to a travel voucher where you then have 12 months to use the voucher from the day the flight was purchased. And can only be used for the same passenger the flight was originally booked for.
