Last week I wrote about an awesome promotion with the financial investing site Acorns. Right now, if you invite 12 friends to sign up for an account with your referral link you’ll receive a $1,000 bonus! This is on top of the standard $5 you receive when inviting friends which means you’ll end up with $1,060 with those 12 referrals. The only requirement is that your friend must invest at least $5 and keep the account open at least 30 days. Easy breezy if you ask me as it does not require you to invest much money at all! Today is the last day to sign up and invite friends, so start sending out your referral link asap!Opening up an account was a quick process taking no more then 5 minutes. You do have to give your social security number, which I do not love, but I still did it. Your call whether or not you are comfortable giving out your info. You’ll also need to link your checking account for the one-time or recurring deposit. Of course you can deposit more money, but I kept it safe with just $5 for now. You will also be charged a fee of $1 a month if you have less then $5,000 in the account or .25% if you have more then $5,000. While the fees can be steep, the referral bonus definitely makes up for it. You can open an account here.
The best thing about the sign up bonus is if you sign up now, your referral link is available immediately! So there is still time to sign up and get your friends on board. You can share your link through all your social media networks which makes it easy to get friends to sign up. This is a nice chunk of change so I suggest looking into it to see if it works for you! From my personal experience it can take a week or so for your referrals to show up in your account. You are welcome to post your referral link in the comments section below for other readers to use!
